Heather Light is the Accounts Officer at Catton & Tondelstrand Family Lawyers, bringing extensive financial expertise and a strong background in treasury, cash management, and operational finance. She plays a key role in supporting the firm’s financial operations and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and clarity across all accounts processes.

In her role, Heather is responsible for costing files, preparing invoices, managing client billing enquiries, debtor management, and payroll. She is known for her attention to detail, reliability, and ability to manage financial processes with professionalism and care, helping to ensure a smooth and transparent experience for both clients and the team.

Heather has a strong background in the finance sector, including treasury and cash management roles within investment banking. Prior to joining Catton & Tondelstrand Family Lawyers, she worked as an Operational Finance Officer for a fintech company for five years. This experience provided her with advanced technical skills and a deep understanding of financial systems and process improvement.

Since transitioning into the legal industry, Heather has embraced the opportunity to expand her knowledge of legal practice operations and terminology, while contributing to the development of efficient financial processes within the firm.

In addition to her core role, Heather also takes on the important role of Social Coordinator for the team, helping to foster a positive and connected workplace culture by ensuring important milestones and celebrations are recognised.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new culinary experiences through dining out and cooking, reading, and staying active through gym sessions and walking.
