Finance Manager

Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Catton & Tondelstrand Lawyers is a rapidly growing specialist family law firm enjoying considerable success with rapid growth over the past 2 years. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and organised finance manager to assist in maintaining all internal accounting and financial functions for the firm.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated to take ownership of this role and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Experience in a similar role will be favourably considered.

Your day to day responsibilities:

  • Organising payments (using Xero) and remittances to suppliers
  • Issuing client invoices and statements
  • Preparation of divisional profit and loss statements
  • Preparation of records for external accountant to attend to yearly financial statement & tax return preparation
  • Maintenance and filing of business financial records including accounting, insurance records etc.
  • Assist Managing Directors and Operations Manager with day to day administrative office duties when needed.
  • Management of internal client file billing processes
  • Debtor management
  • Budget forecasting and projections

Additional skills essential for this role:

  • Competence with business accounting
  • Experience using Xero
  • Experience with projects reporting in Xero
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Word/Excel)
  • Significant finance manager/bookkeeping experience
  • Ability to resolve problems when comparing records to transactions
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organised, effective and quick work completion
  • Ability to monitor time and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
